Trust. Change. Forward.
For me, humanity and business always go hand in hand. In my work as a facilitator and coach, I combine empathy, empowerment, and effectiveness with humor and a results-oriented mindset. Teams appreciate that I name what others leave unsaid and offer support when the pressure rises. With international experience, sharp questions, and genuine engagement, I help them stay on course while creating space for growth – especially when things get challenging.
What shaped me
After completing my law degree, I started as a management trainee in marketing at Unilever. I was drawn by the company’s professionalism, the versatility of marketing, and the international opportunities it offered. With some persistence, my husband and I—who worked for another Dutch company—were able to arrange an assignment abroad in Brazil.
The years I subsequently spent working for multinationals and smaller businesses in Hong Kong and Thailand have shaped me both broadly and professionally. The most defining insight from that time is that, no matter how a change process is designed, the willingness and engagement of people ultimately determine its success. Awareness opens the door to shifts in mindset and behavior.
After the birth of my three children, I was fully confronted with the ongoing challenge of finding balance in a woman’s life. Being diagnosed with and overcoming breast cancer made the combination of family, health, work, and ambition even more complex.
I’m deeply grateful for the professional shift I made afterward: joining a consultancy firm specializing in change management.
With all the experience gained there, I confidently founded The Star Ferry – from where we’ve been working for many years with passion and fulfillment on team development and coaching.
