The Star Ferry is the name of the Hong Kong ferry service that transports thousands of passengers across Victoria Harbour every day, from Hong Kong Island, which is oriented towards the West, to the Chinese mainland. These are passengers that recognize and utilize the opportunities that are available in the China of the future, each and every day. Passengers for whom, these days, several alternatives are available for crossing the harbour, such as the metro and a tunnel. Yet they still choose The Star Ferry. It is efficient, they can see where they’re going, and the view is fantastic.

I lived in Hong Kong for four years. Every day, to get to work from my house, I could choose between the metro or The Star Ferry. Most of the time, I chose the latter. With the freedom to look all around me, enjoying the incredible skyline of the 24-hour city of Hong Kong, secure in the knowledge that I would safely reach the other side of the harbour, surrounded by people who were taking steps in their lives: for me, these were important moments of inspiration and motivation.

The Star Ferry is a fitting name for our practice for team development and coaching. We support teams and individuals in their own crossings to a new side, from where, strengthened further, they can continue on their journey.
